Bloom True Boot Camp

Do you know Flora Bowley? If not, check out her blog. When you are checking out her blog look for the posts on Bloom True Boot Camp. I have been following the daily prompts. It is quite fun! You don't have to complete all of the prompts. Just do the ones that speak to you. Here are a few photos of what I have been working on.

Invite the sacred

Embrace the sensual - fairy lights, marjoram incense, a little breeze coming in the windows.

The Third Line Project

You can keep it or pass it on
What do you think? Keep it or pass it on?
Depends on what it is? Does your life depend upon it? That is does your life depend upon keeping it or passing it on?
What will you get for keeping it? What will happen if you pass it on?
You will never know unless you make the decision to keep it or pass it on.

The Third Line Project

A sudden stirring of the huddled herds;
What was it they heard or sensed?
Animals have a sixth sense they actually tap into
Us humans do not use our sixth sense, also known as intuition, like we should
We all have it, we just don't use it
We should, it could save us a lot of heart ache or even create heart ache,
but we should listen to it none the less.
We should sit still and listen; listen to our yearnings, our hearts desires
Where do you go to listen?
What do you hear when you listen?

The Third Line Project - August 27

For laughing in school you will get in trouble.
At least when I went to school, laughing in class wasn't allowed. It was all
business, the business of learning Chaucer, algebra, and earth science. What a shame.
What is life without laughter?
Why save it for time away from school?
Students and teachers could benefit from laughter throughout the day.
I did hear laughing coming form the teachers lounge one day.
I felt as if I was privy to some secret. What were they laughing at?

The Third Line Project - August 26

And my voice, it rang out.
It had been so quiet for so long that when the time came
it sprang forward out of nowhere.
I can't remember what I said. But all of a sudden the room was silent and
everyone was looking at me.
What did I say? What sent me over the edge that my voice exploded out of me?
I wish I could remember. No one will tell me the truth. They
say everything will be ok. Not to worry. What did I say that was so horrible no one will talk about it?

The Third Line Project - Catching up

That farm greener than green
thanks to the rain. It has been a dry spring. Things
were looking lifeless and they were lacking color.
We prayed for rain for months. We would only get a sprinkling, every now and then.
Nothing that made a difference. That is until last week.
Every evening about 6 pm we would get a gentle spring rain. It
would soak the ground and the over night hours with no sun would let the rain do it's
thing
Boy it has done it's thing!
The fields are green and the flowers are blooming.
The sheep are well fed as are the cows.
Thank god for the rain.

Compass: it shows us the way. It shows us our true north. Without
it we are lost. Some people have a inborn compass the works amazingly well.
Their sense of direction both physically and spiritually are flawless.
What happened to mine?

Rooted things wait on the family porch
The elephant plant, the hibiscus, the rubber tree. They are all there, one for each child, one each a favorite.
The hibiscus is mine. It flowers. I like that. Mom and dad wait on the porch as well. The family dog used to wait on the porch. It's just his bed now.

The little feathered forest folks.
They live in amongst those big, old roots.
You never see them but you know they are there. You see their front yard. You see where they enter their home. You feel their essence.

The Third Line Project - August 19

I'd love a man
who smelled like the outdoors
who can cook
who likes reading and
having a fire in the fireplace or fire pit
who likes swimming in fresh water
who likes quiet
Who likes big, open space and
time in the city
who likes riding bikes and walking down Main St
